I am Juliette Sinclair, the designer and founder of Lemon19.

I used to be an event planner, always thinking about how to create events where people could break the ice quickly and have a great time. Just like a perfect party: no need for long rule explanations. Friends sit down, start laughing, and the cards naturally guide them to interact. All you need to do is enjoy the moment.

Why is it so simple? Because when designing these cards, we made every task and every prompt as intuitive as using an ATM. In the exact moment players need guidance, the card provides it. No complicated instructions to learn in advance.

That's what I believe makes great design: simple, exciting, yet magical.

But designing these cards wasn't easy. I didn’t just sit alone scribbling on paper; I had to collaborate with players, friends, and even bar owners. The hardest part? Figuring out how to fit everyone's needs into one deck.

"Families want warmth, young adults seek excitement, and bar owners need to control playtime..." In endless meetings, our ideas were laid out on the table like scattered cards. Discussions often hit dead ends—one person fixated on art style, another on punishment mechanics. All I wanted to shout was: "Can we first decide what problem the cards are supposed to solve?!"

Then, one night while camping, I saw my friend Andy work her magic with three simple cards.

That evening, a group of strangers sat around the campfire in silence. Andy didn't say a word; she just pulled out three pieces of paper. The first said, "Share a story about something you've done that no one believes." The second instructed, "Take a silly group photo with the person on your left." The third card was blank, except for one line: "Invent a new rule and pass this card to someone else."

Ten minutes later, we were laughing like lifelong friends.

Andy later shared her secret: "A good party game isn't about rules; it's about creating moments of inspiration. Cards shouldn't control players—they should spark their imagination.
